We are glad you are considering our neighborhood! Below are buyer’s FAQ about the neighborhood.

Q: Do you have an established Association?

A: Yes! We have a POA (Property Owner’s Association). This is similar to an HOA with a Board, By-Laws, Covenants and Restrictions.

Q: What makes Traditions unique?

A: Traditions is a community built on the concept of offering all segments of residential life in one unified setting.  By having all residential styles ranging from apartment homes, condominiums, town homes, and single family dwellings of all sizes in the neighborhood, there is a welcoming atmosphere for all life and age functions.  

Q: What amenities are included?

            A: Pool, fitness center, playground, tennis/basketball Courts, clubhouse.

B: Home lawn care includes mowing, mulching, fertilization and spring and fall clean- up. 

C. All parks and common areas are for general use and cared for by the Association.

Q: How do the Board and property owners communicate?

  1. The board holds a monthly meeting that is open to the homeowners.
    1. The Board and it’s Administrator use a cloud-based HOA management system for communication, unit management and electronic payment of fees.
    1. Property owners can contact the Board via email at any time.

Q: What are some homeowner responsibilities?

A: The Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions is a legal document and contains responsibilities and restrictions.  Homeowners must keep up any needed home maintenance (painting, etc) and are responsible for repair or replacement of their property including landscape, outdoor lighting etc.  (See Covenants and Restrictions page for more information.)

Q: Are there any restrictions I should know about?

  1. On street parking for long periods is restricted per Bowling Green City and Traditions restrictions.

B:  Restrictions also include long term parking of boats, campers, tractors of any size, ATVs etc.   Portable storage containers are prohibited.  Livestock, poultry, pets such as reptiles may not be kept on the property. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.  Restrictions also include: clotheslines, window air conditioners, trailers, signs, billboards.  Fences and basketball goals require Board approval.  Any discharge of firearms, including BB guns, yard sales or businesses involving employees or customers are not permitted. We recommend all potential homeowners review the full listing on the Covenants and Restrictions page.

Q:  What are the costs associated with purchasing a home and required membership in the Traditions association?  Assessments are determined on an annual basis by the Traditions board who are tasked with maintaining services and amenities while assuring the association is solvent and protected from litigation.  The following fees apply for 2024: 

A: One time membership fee ($750)

B: Annual assessments vary depending on location.  2024 assessments ranged from $800 for some condominiums to $1610 for homes with larger yards.

C: Annual contribution to Capital Maintenance and Repair, $240/year in 2024 for all homeowners regardless of location.
